Hello Loves and happy Monday!
Recently I’ve been really into going to the gym. I enjoy my time there so much! It seems so special, moment just for me. I go every other day. In total it gives around 4 days a week. Some weeks more. My workout routine started from my idea to do what the hell I want to do to make working out pleasant and not discouraging (I used to hate gym!). Usually I spend 40-45 minutes on stepper, and then going to exercise on a few machines of my choice. Most often they’re leg abduction, crunches and leg press. I gradually add more weight when I feel too comfortable.
I go to the gym very regularly, for now it’s around for 2 months. I can see small results but I wish for something more that will help me achieve my goals faster and more efficient. I don’t have much knowledge about fitness that’s why I wanted to try someone else’s professional program and try to stick to it. I’ve heard a lot about Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide (#BBG). Articles on the internet, magazine covers, transformations photo and suggested posts on facebook made me want to look deeper into the whole Kayla’s program.
On instagram I’ve seen so many transformations photos that today I decided to also make a change about my lifestyle and start the #BBG program!
I downloaded an ebook because honestly I cannot afford the app. $19,99 USD per month is too much for me since I’m already paying my gym membership. Ebook is the same program as you get with the app, just in different form.
The program consist of 12 weeks worth of workouts. And it’s divided by weeks 1-4, 5-8 and 9-12. In each amount of weeks you have four different kind of trainings:
Resistance training (circuit workout prepared by Kayla that take 28 minutes to finish), Cardio (HIIT= 10-15 mins sprint training and LISS=35-45 mins power walking) and Stretch.
In each week you have several amount of those trainings to complete. It depends on the week number. The further you are in BBG, the harder it gets.
Actually if you think about it, it will all take around 30 minutes 5-6 times a week. As I’m getting more familiar with the whole idea it seems like it’s very flexible plan, that a lot of exercises you can do at home. Some exercises need gym equipment, but if you’re creative (or you can just use google) all can be performed at home!
I started first day today and hoping that I won’t fail, I’ll update you with the program and my progress! If I won’t be shy, maybe with transformation photos as well! Follow me on Instagram to keep up with my progress (and life) before first blog post!
Did you try #BBG yourself? What do you think about it? Let me know!
