BECCA Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer – REVIEW

Hello Loves and happy Monday!

This week I wanted to make a review of my newest purchase. I love to try new products and few weeks ago I was looking for a good concealer that will work as well on my dark circles as on other areas where I might have a blemish or which I want to brighten up a little. I definitely wanted it to be moisturising and with natural finish. I’ve heard so much about NARS’ famous concealer I almost bought it, if not the fact in this particular Sephora where I was shopping they didn’t have my shade. Automatically I wondered to BECCA stand and decided to give their Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer a try.

I got the lightest shade and unfortunately I have to say, for a such super pale lady as me, it’s still too dark. But fear not! It still works if I pair it with the wright makeup products. Definitely gonna be my number 1 when the sun will start to hit! Beside that fact I love this concealer and I have to say it does exactly everything the brand promises it to do.

It’s so easy to blend and is very light in consistency. It’s moisturising and you cannot feel you’re wearing it. The coverage from the other hand is light to medium, but definitely buildable. I’m sure all Becca fans and people who love natural, dewy finish with light to medium coverage will be very pleased with this product just as me!

Meaningful & Romantic Last Minute Gift For Your SO

Hello Loves and happy Monday!

Since Christmas is almost here I wanted to share with you some ideas for presents that mean a world and are super romantic, sweet and fun but actually don’t cost a penny (or could if you wish them to).

Those ideas for gifts are not reserved only for Christmas. It’s perfect for any occasion! Birthday, anniversary etc. Anytime you want to give something meaningful. Or maybe spent days on looking for a perfect gift but couldn’t find it, this one will make anyone happy!

It all started with the idea of a meaningful and romantic present I wanted to give my boyfriend for our first anniversary. It happens to be on 28th of December and after I spent so much money on all Christmas gifts for everyone I wanted to make anniversary gift even more special and give something handmade, straight from the heart.

3641A6EA-BEC7-46F7-BC11-9FF2C52BBE49

What I made is I bought a small Christmas box and 12 little envelopes. One for each month of the year. I took some of my watercolour paper and cut it to size of envelopes. Each card I decorated with abstract watercolour painting.

Inside each card I wrote a love letter or a poem. So with the beginning of each month my boyfriend could enjoy a little love note from me.

Depending on occasion and person you can change absolutely anything. You can decorate the envelope as I did or just pass this step and for example buy colourful paper. You can do it fancy and buy nice box and decorations or make it from what you’re already have at home. You also don’t need a box. You can just put a bow around all the envelopes and it’ll still look great! There’re so many different ways to make this gift, mine is just an example.

Next gift idea is a little box of coupons. For this year’s anniversary I made 4 per one month for my boyfriend to draw. On each of folded cards I wrote different thing I’ll do, for example: breakfast in bed, day I won’t say “no” to you, you choose the movie etc. You can put whatever you have on mind and as many as you wish.

Also you can decorate the box with the bow or just simply put those little cards in a jar. As well as the first one, this gift you can personalise depending on the receiver.

I hope you enjoyed those simple gift ideas! I think they’re pretty romantic and with those coupons you can also spice up your relationship 😉 or bring a little bit more adventure!

Merry Christmas! ❤

BECCA Après Ski Glow Collection: Eye Lights Palette – review

Hello Loves and happy Monday!

Recently I had to go to Sephora to pick a few things up (face masks etc). Since for 2 whole months I was so busy finding a perfect gift for everyone for my and my boyfriend’s families I decided to treat myself and get the classic Champagne Pop BECCA Highlighter I was dreaming of for quite a while now. Also I had 20% off any purchase, so… it’s clearly a bargain, right?

I had it in my hand when a girl who works in Sephora asked if I saw the new BECCA Après Ski Glow Collection: Eye Lights Palette at the entrance. Well, I did but actually didn’t look inside. She opened the packaging and said it’s an eyeshadow palette and I can easily use any of the shadows as a highlighter.

The choice between Champagne Pop and that palette for me was very easy. I get 7 different colours of eyeshadows/highlighters for a tiny bit more than one Champagne Pop (which I can always get later, 😉 ).

I didn’t own any of BECCA’s products before and I think I made a great choice, because after reading reviews I’ve found out that people who weren’t new to the brand said the eyeshadows are too sheer for their liking and they work better as a eyeshadow toppers or highlighters. I’m sure this palette will be perfect for anyone who’s new to BECCA as a brand and doesn’t own a lot of highlighters, as myself, or is just looking for a gorgeous metallic/satin and a little sheer eyeshadows.

Here are the swatches of every shade from the pallete. Please not I’m definitley on a pale side if it comes to a skintone. The photo was made in natural light.

“No Makeup” Makeup – My Everyday Routine

Hello my Loves!

This Monday I want to share with you my everyday makeup routine. Sometimes it is not existent because my makeup changes everyday depending on the season, my mood and condition of my skin. The reason that I’m doing it now is that for a while now I keept grabbing the same makeup items. I think that finally I’m able to get the know what is the combination and the right order of products to use on my skin right now (let’s do it now, because it might change in a few days, haha!). Usually I don’t wear a lot of makeup, trying to make it as natural as I can. Honestly it comes from my laziness and desire to sleep those 15 minutes more. So my whole routine takes me around 10 to 15 mins. If feel more fancy I add lipstick, eyeshadow etc.

B A S E

I’m starting with moisturising my face and then I go with the Color Correcting Liquid Primer in Green by NYX following with NYX Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer. For foundation I use MAC Studio Face and Body.

C O N C E A L  &  H I G H L I G H T

To brighten my always dark circles and cover blemishes I use Sephora Collection High Coverage Concealer and as a highlight the light side of NYX Wonder Stick.

S E T ,   C O N T O U R  &  B R O N Z E

To set my highlight, foundation and concealer I use Vichy Dermablend Make-up Setting Powder. (If I feel like contour, first I’ll use the dark side of  NYX Wonder Stick and then use powder). When I need my makeup to stay all day and I can’t afford touch ups during the busy day I also bake my under eyes, nose and chin area using setting powder and damp BeautyBlender. While my face is baking I bronze my face with Hoola bronzer. Then with a big fluffy blush I take off the residue of the setting powder.

For a very simple natural look I finish with my eyebrows and eyelashes by using Benefit ka-Brow Eyebrow Cream-Gel Color and a bit of Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

And what is your everyday beauty routine?

2k Followers Q&A

Hello Loves and happy Monday!

As promised, today I’m answering all your questions from my last post (read). I’m so grateful for all 2000 of you (now 2100!)! So happy to have you here in Olita’s family! ❤

Let’s get to your questions, shall we?

How did you get that many? Any good tips? Could really use some!!!

That is the most common question I get asked almost every day! Tbh I always go with my gutt when it comes to blogging. First thing would be definitely to not start a blog if all you can think of are those likes and followers, do it only because you enjoy it! Very important is to be engaged with community. Also a huge part of blogging is consistency of posting and bringing new content for your followers. Quality of pictures you upload is very important as well. Good luck!

What do you think is the best social media strategy for getting more visitors to a blog? And what was the most challenging moment in your blogging journey so far?

That’s a similar question to the one above and I think I can give the same answer here. Just keep being engaged in community and post consistently! The most challenging moment in my blogging journey would be definitely to try be consistent with posting and scheduling posts when I’m away.

My question is in regards to your vision, where do you see your blog ten years from now if all goes according to plan?

First of all I don’t have any plan. I’m blogging because I love it and it’s just something I do only for myself (nobody from my friends or family knows about it) and my followers. So I have no expectations at all actually!

I am losing my inspiration on filming video recently. Where do you get your blog post inspiration?

I usually write about what I find interesting at the moment. Sometimes it happens when I buy something for myself and feel the need to share it with my followers. The other time I’d feel like sharing my tips I think they could be helpful or just anything really that I’m passionate about.

What motivates to write posts and to continue blogging?

What keeps me motivated is that I truly enjoy to do blogging and it’s simply a getaway from work/home. It makes me feel relaxed and keeps my mind off some things I might be stressing about too much. Also it gives me a feeling of accomplishment which is really nice.

Thank you so much for all your questions! It’s always a pleasure to asnwer them! ❤

You can read more of my q&a’s here and here.
