Makeup April Favorites

Hello Loves!

Since it’s May the 1st I decided to share with you my favourite makeup (and one skincare) products of the past month! I’ve seen those posts all over WordPress and I thought it would be really fun to give you a little glimpse of what I was enjoying  this past month.

Some of those products are even more than just one month favourites, because I’ve been using them for much longer. The rest I picked up from my makeup collection or freshly purchased from drugstore to simply check them out but actually getting to enjoy them for those long 30 days.

  1. Nivea Soft cream I love this moisturizer mostly because of its price and how well it works with my skin! It does its job as well as some of the expensive moisturizer I had purchased months ago and honestly I don’t see a sense to ever going back and spending again so much money.
  2. L’oreal True Match I’ve heard a lot about this foundation and honestly at first I didn’t like it that much. It looked dry on my skin leaving a weird texture. Then I decided to mix it with my moisturizer (Nivea Soft) and a miracle happened! Since I turned it into a BB cream it’s a revelation! It looks exactly like my skin (it always hard for me to find such a pale toned foundation) and thanks to moisturiser I’m left with gorgeous and dewy skin. Then, when I’m still left with some blemishes I use it without mixing with cream and gently cover any imperfections.
  3. NYX Correcting Liquid Primer in Green I randomly picked it up when I was in the NYX store. It gives very subtle results reducing redness but it works perfectly on my sensitive skin. It doesn’t leave the “satin” finish but a little bit more sticky/foundation feeling. It doesn’t bother me, because I found out that silicone-ish primer doesn’t always work the best on my skin after wearing it the whole day.
  4.  Vichy Transparent Powder Great setting powder. That’s all I can say.
  5. NYX Tinted Brow Mascara It puts my brows into place and gives them a subtle colour. I really like it.
  6. Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara Best mascara I’ve used in my life. For me it’s better than any high-end mascara. I guess it’s my every month favourite!
  7. Maybelline Liquid Eyeliner in Satin I don’t use it very often but I did just picked it up in a drugstore. I’m not everyday eyeliner person, so for me it’s enough. I find it very easy to use comparing to other applicators, although it’s quite tricky to correct mistakes.
  8. Urban Decay Naked Flushed in Strip The blush from this trio is my go to. Very natural, pretty pink shade without shimmer.
  9. Too Faced Candlelight Glow HIghlighter I got it as a gift from my boyfriend and I love it to pieces! It’s a perfect highlight for my pale skin! I bet it looks incredible on any skintone too! Very pigmented and packaging is to die for! It’s Too Faced so duuhh!

Sephora blush- Sephora Birthday Haul

Loves, this “Sephora bd haul” series I’d like to dedicate to all the stuff I recently got in Sephora as a gift for myself. As my birthday is quickly approaching I wanted to treat myself and let myself a little loose in the make up and skincare wonderland. In each post I’ll review one of the products I got.

This time I would like to tell you how I find the free birthday gift from Sephora.

Well… first of all I was pretty excited about it! Free gift? For me?? I saw in the email: “Sephora blush”?! Yes, please!

My excitement very quickly disappeared when I swatched colors on my hand. The peach one is ok. Quite nice color I was missing in my make up collection (I always go for pink shades). On my hand it looked really natural, because even though the shade is very orange toned, it’s not strongly pigmented. The pink blush though wasn’t pigmented at all! Huge disappointment! I could barely see it on my pale hand even when I strongly rubbed my finger on blush to get some product on.

Well… I hope the next year’s gift will be good enough to wear and enjoy!

How about you guys? Did you ever got a Sephora present for your birthday? What was it and did you like it? I’m really curious about your experiences! 🙂

Everyday beauty essentials

In this blog post I’d like to share with you all my beauty essentials I use daily. Having my little routine and using the same products each day helps me stay organised and definitely saves some time when I rush from the shower having 30 minutes to do my make up, hair and choose the right clothes.

Depending on my mood, sometimes I change the lip product, don’t use anything at all or just a simple lip balm. The look itself is very simple, looks fresh and natural.

It took me some time to build and complete my daily weekday make up routine. I was experimenting and switching the products pretty often. One day I noticed that I started to look for and grab the same products each day. And that how I discovered my natural makeup routine.

Everyday those 8 essentials help me feel fresh and glowing all day long and achieve that effortless and natural look in just few minutes.

BENEFIT POREfessional Face Primer

I love this primer because it leaves my skin very smooth and silky and oil free for a long time! I can also see a big difference in appearance of my pores – they look way smaller. Definitely makes foundation stay longer too. I used to not use primers at all, but when i tried it and saw how big difference it makes I never looked back!

AA LUMI foundation (001 Ivory)

This foundation costs almost nothing and it lasts quite a long time! It gives my skin nice glow and looks very natural. You can also build it up, but it is light coverage.

NYX HD concealer

Sometimes I use it and sometimes not. Depending how tired I look. I use it under eyes and in places I want to brighten my complexion. I noticed that it dries pretty quickly and sometimes at the end of the day leaves those lines of built up product in under eye area. Although I find it as a very good coverage concealer that lasts decent amount of time.

VICHY Dermablend powder

Really good loose powder. It comes with a little sponge, but I prefer to use my brush. It sets my make up very well and it makes my skin matt without looking cakey.

3

TOO FACED Better Than Sex Mascara

I have waterproof version and believe me I cried so many times wearing it and nothing happened (not that I cry a lot)! It gives lashes gorgeous volume and length. I like to brush through my lashes after I put this mascara on for less dramatic look.

NYX Control Freak Eyebrow Gel

Perfect transparent eyebrow gel. Keeps brows in a desirable shape all day long! Nothing to add, just a great product!

4

NARS Blush in “Orgasm”

I was thinking for a long time about if to purchase this blush. I’ve heard a lot about it and all opinions were very positive. When I finally got it I just told myself : “It was so worth it!” Nars’s Orgasm is a natural, coral – pink shade with a little bit of golden shimmer. I think it is perfect for every skin tone. It is very pigmented and leaves the skin with very healthy, warm glow. I didn’t think that I would love it so much!

CLARINS Lipliner Pencil (02 nude beige)

I really like this lipliner the most for its colour and that it’s long-lasting! Sometimes I feel it can dry lips a little, but a simple lip balm usually does the trick.

5

CHANEL Coco Chanel Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum

And finally! Creme de la creme! Without using this perfume I never leave the house! It’s such a statement piece for me. Something about this scent it gives me a kick of confidence and makes me feel like myself in 100%. It’s a touch of luxury everyday. I found them, fell in love and I can’t imagine using any other sent!

With the combination of everyday dainty jewellery (including two rings and a necklace I never take off) this scent just put the look together and makes me ready for my day!

Tell me in comments what are your favorite everyday products! Maybe we share some?
