Sephora Face Masks review

Hi Loves and happy Monday!

For today’s post I prepared a review of two Sephora Masks. One is a full face rose mask and second one is just a charcoal nose strip.

On Saturday I decided to pumper myself and use the full face rose mask ($6). It is supposed to brighten and moisturize your skin. I kept it on, as it said on the packaging, for 15 mins and have to say the whole process was really relaxing and felt very luxurious (I’m not used to do masks often as you can tell). After those 15 minutes I took it off and instantly felt refreshed. I massaged any leftovers of the mask into my skin. Honestly, I could feel that mask helped me with moisturizing my face more than I could see it. So visually I didn’t see much difference. Although my skin felt great! Did it brighten my complexion? I don’t think so. If so, then very slightly.

The nose strip I used on my boyfriend because he was asking me if I have this super famous black peel off mask, which I didn’t. I offered him this Sephora one and he was quite pleased with the result. Before using it don’t forget to read the instructions! I didn’t pay attention that nose, beside being clean, should also be damp. But after all, with a little help of wet towel, it got stuck to my love’s nose and worked as promised. Results were ok, without revelation. I think you could find something better for that price ($3).

Will I use this again? The nose strip – I don’t think that I’ll bother with it. The rose face mask – Maybe yes, before important event or just to pamper and spoil myself a little bit!

Did you use some of Sephora masks? Which ones? Did you like them or not? Share below! I’d love to hear about your masks experiences!

P.S. Keep your eyes peeled on the next post! It will be my June favourites!

ORIGINS GinZing™ Peel-Off Mask – Sephora Birthday Haul

Loves, this “Sephora bd haul” series I’d like to dedicate to all the stuff I recently got in Sephora as a gift for myself. As my birthday is quickly approaching I wanted to treat myself and let myself a little loose in the make up and skincare wonderland. In each post I’ll review one of the products I got.

Let’s start with the fact I’ve had never used any of the origins products, but always wanted to try. I stood in front of all Origins goodness put on Sephora shelves searching for the perfect cosmetic to try and hoping my skin will enjoy it. Of course after 10 seconds of me looking around the shelf, Sephora employee approached me and recommended the Origins GinZing™ Peel-Off Mask to Refine and Refresh. I honestly didn’t know what kind of product I wanted to take home but I was leaning to their “bestseller” – moisturising mask. She said she knows better one, from Korres (read my review here) which I also purchased that day.

So I decided to give that Origins peel-off mask a try. Next day I put it on my face – little by little because it dries so quickly! I left even layer all over my face (as they wrote on the packaging is the best) and waited 20 minutes until it’ll dry. When I was applying its strong smell hit me pretty hard and my eyes got watered. I read the list of ingredients and there is a lot and lot of alcohol, which gave me a lesson to always get familiar with ingredients before purchasing anything (I wouldn’t have bought it if I knew how much alcohol it has). I have mixed skin but also quite sensitive therefore I’m not gonna use this mask pretty often. On the bright side though, after I peeled it off, my skin felt extremely fresh, pleasantly tightened and what was most important for me the imperfections seamed way smaller, redness disappeared and my complexion was so bright and beautiful!

Would I recommend it? If you don’t mind so much alcohol ingredients and you don’t have dry or sensitive skin, yes. But would I purchased it again for myself? I don’t think so… I’ll definitely finish this one, but then go for something different. I just feel like my skin is too dry and sensitive for this.

What is your favourite Origins product? I need recommendations 🙂

Korres Wild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial – Sephora Birthday Haul

I usually try to look for any discounts when I’m going to buy something more luxurious (read: not drugstore makeup and skincare products). Luckily in the prefect time I got an email that this week I can get 20% off everything with my black Sephora card. Well, you could only imagine how happy and excited I was!

For a long time I was searching for a perfect moisturizer. Mostly I was using the ones that my dermatologist suggested for my skin. Usually it was something from La Roche Posay brand since I had some brake outs on my skin. Then it started to get better but also I felt like it got drier and drier. Nothing, even Physiogel wasn’t enough to nourish and moisturize my skin. Then I tried CLINIQUE Moisture Surge Intense For Very Dry To Dry Combination Skin because I really loved the sample I once got. First I felt it was helping but after some time my skin didn’t feel much different.

Then I went for my BD Sephora splurge and one of the lovely ladies working there shared her favourite moisturizer with me. I’ve heard a lot good things about Korres brand and always wanted to try it and when I finally try this mask on my hand I loved it! The subtle scent of rose and the creamy but very light formula got me from the start! The most amazing part of it is that it’s a night mask, but you just apply it as a normal moisturizer (so not too thick, it will still do its magic, believe me!) and sleep in it. Just after the first night I felt a huge difference with my skin! It felt super moisturized, fresh, soft and it was glowing! I could even see that few of my hyper pigmentations were gone! What also pursued me to buy this mask was the fact it’s mostly made from natural ingredients!

I really love it a lot and I’m so happy with it (as with my Dior Lip scrub!) Cannot recommend it enough!

And what is your favourite moisturizer? Share with me in the comments!
