Sephora Face Masks review

Hi Loves and happy Monday!

For today’s post I prepared a review of two Sephora Masks. One is a full face rose mask and second one is just a charcoal nose strip.

On Saturday I decided to pumper myself and use the full face rose mask ($6). It is supposed to brighten and moisturize your skin. I kept it on, as it said on the packaging, for 15 mins and have to say the whole process was really relaxing and felt very luxurious (I’m not used to do masks often as you can tell). After those 15 minutes I took it off and instantly felt refreshed. I massaged any leftovers of the mask into my skin. Honestly, I could feel that mask helped me with moisturizing my face more than I could see it. So visually I didn’t see much difference. Although my skin felt great! Did it brighten my complexion? I don’t think so. If so, then very slightly.

The nose strip I used on my boyfriend because he was asking me if I have this super famous black peel off mask, which I didn’t. I offered him this Sephora one and he was quite pleased with the result. Before using it don’t forget to read the instructions! I didn’t pay attention that nose, beside being clean, should also be damp. But after all, with a little help of wet towel, it got stuck to my love’s nose and worked as promised. Results were ok, without revelation. I think you could find something better for that price ($3).

Will I use this again? The nose strip – I don’t think that I’ll bother with it. The rose face mask – Maybe yes, before important event or just to pamper and spoil myself a little bit!

Did you use some of Sephora masks? Which ones? Did you like them or not? Share below! I’d love to hear about your masks experiences!

P.S. Keep your eyes peeled on the next post! It will be my June favourites!

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream – Review

Hello Loves! Hope you have a great Monday!

For this week’s post I decided to do a review of Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream which I’ve recently purchased. And guys…! I LOVE it!

In a few posts back I was raving about Garnier BB cream and how perfect it was for my super pale complexion. I still love it though! The thing is I’m leaving with my bae for holidays July 16th to Bulgaria and since I’m so pale and easily get a sun burn (I never get tanned, always red 😭)  my boyfriend suggested that maybe I should go to solarium few times before our trip. And so I did (soon I’ll make a post about the whole experience being first time in solarium). Now I’m way darker than I used to be (read: just not so pale anymore). Any foundation/bb cream which back then was too dark for me (that’s why I switched for Garnier BB cream in shade extra light)  now is too light!

For a few days I didn’t wear any makeup but I didn’t feel comfortable enough to keep it that way. First I wanted to go to Sephora and buy a good quality bb cream from Nars or Clinique. Then I thought I don’t know how long I’ll stay that tanned and if I decide to keep it after vacation with trips to solarium or fake tanner. I decided to not spend that much money and look for a cheaper option. So I went to my drugstore to look for something that will fit my current skin tone. I was going to pick something from L’oréal but I think they just had a sale because the stand was a mess and they didn’t have a lot of products. Then I walked up to Borjois and Rimmel stands. In both I found bb creams I liked but couldn’t decide between them. I checked reviews on the internet and definite winner was Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream.

It’s not too expensive (costs around $13), it was on sale for half price so without thinking I picked it up! I chose shade 32 light beige and it matches my skin tone perfectly! I haven’t found any other foundation/cc/bb cream to match me this good! I was amazed! The only bad thing is that it is only available (at least where I bought it) in 4 shades. Some are with pink some with yellow undertones. It is definitely not enough colors for everyone. The cc cream itself is very liquid and you don’t need much to cover your face, so you have to be careful with that. I saw that it looks best applied with BeautyBlender or other makeup sponge. With fingers it looks a little bit too heavy for me. It has very good and natural coverage. I use BioOil as a moisturizer and it leaves me with a very dewy, gorgeous and glowing skin. Sometimes I like to powder my T zone. And what is super important it stays on face way longer than any bb or cc cream I’ve tried! It’s my holy grail now!

Let me know if you have used it! Do you like it or not so much? Will you try it?

Upgrade your everyday outfit with those few simple items!

Some days I feel like going for that “model off duty” look. Just make everyday outfit to look more stylish and cool. What I’ve noticed is you don’t need expensive designer clothes to achieve that. What you actually need is everything you already have in your closet! A few, or even one, of those accessories will elevate simple outfit in no time! So let’s save some money, bring that inside model of ours out and go look stylish af!

SUNGLASSES

1

Actually I think no commentary is necessary to describe this item. Everyone already knows how easy it’s to put on some shades and instantly feel like a celebrity. They bring more symmetry to our faces, instantly making us look more attractive (from the scientific point of view) and so so stylish! If you ususally use make up, but overslept and need to go out asap sunglusses are a great friend and disgise for those dark circles!

EARRINGS

Nowadays, I’m obsessed with statement earrings! The bigger the better! I feel like they add a lot of elegance to an outfit and I often like to pair them with a simple tee.

BAGS

3

In my opinion the funkier, more detailed and colorful the better! It can be such a great statement to very simple outfit. That kind of bag puts it together without any effort. Imagine monochromatic outfit (I love dressing all white these days and for spring/summer season my fav set is white culottes and white graphic tee) and a pop of bright colour or interesting pattern on a bag! Just gorgeous!

HEELS

5

It doesn’t matter what you’re wearing, heels will always look good with it. I don’t wear them on daily basis, only when I know I won’t walk a lot that day, but when I do I feel amazing! Feminine, sexy and so powerful! For the ladies like me whose first everyday shoe choice is not a pair of stilettos you can find any other heeled shoes that goes with your outfit even if it’s just a 1,5 inch (3.81 cm) chunky heel. I promise it will change up the game!

4

I also go for the quality over quantity when it comes to my buying shoes. Having just a few pairs of very nice, classic and comfortable heels (and flats) is surely enough to complete any outfit and you can be sure they will last you for ages!

BOLD LIP

2

Bold lipstick will add that taste of sophistication to any piece of clothing! My go to is red smashbox matte liquid lipstick, but there is so many other lip products to choose from! If you feel a little bit too shy to use one of those brave/”in yo face” colors try dark nudes tones, they’re so classy and super trendy now!

I hope this post brings you some inspiration how to upgrade your weekday outfits! Let me know which accessory/product is your favourite to use or try!

ORIGINS GinZing™ Peel-Off Mask – Sephora Birthday Haul

Loves, this “Sephora bd haul” series I’d like to dedicate to all the stuff I recently got in Sephora as a gift for myself. As my birthday is quickly approaching I wanted to treat myself and let myself a little loose in the make up and skincare wonderland. In each post I’ll review one of the products I got.

Let’s start with the fact I’ve had never used any of the origins products, but always wanted to try. I stood in front of all Origins goodness put on Sephora shelves searching for the perfect cosmetic to try and hoping my skin will enjoy it. Of course after 10 seconds of me looking around the shelf, Sephora employee approached me and recommended the Origins GinZing™ Peel-Off Mask to Refine and Refresh. I honestly didn’t know what kind of product I wanted to take home but I was leaning to their “bestseller” – moisturising mask. She said she knows better one, from Korres (read my review here) which I also purchased that day.

So I decided to give that Origins peel-off mask a try. Next day I put it on my face – little by little because it dries so quickly! I left even layer all over my face (as they wrote on the packaging is the best) and waited 20 minutes until it’ll dry. When I was applying its strong smell hit me pretty hard and my eyes got watered. I read the list of ingredients and there is a lot and lot of alcohol, which gave me a lesson to always get familiar with ingredients before purchasing anything (I wouldn’t have bought it if I knew how much alcohol it has). I have mixed skin but also quite sensitive therefore I’m not gonna use this mask pretty often. On the bright side though, after I peeled it off, my skin felt extremely fresh, pleasantly tightened and what was most important for me the imperfections seamed way smaller, redness disappeared and my complexion was so bright and beautiful!

Would I recommend it? If you don’t mind so much alcohol ingredients and you don’t have dry or sensitive skin, yes. But would I purchased it again for myself? I don’t think so… I’ll definitely finish this one, but then go for something different. I just feel like my skin is too dry and sensitive for this.

What is your favourite Origins product? I need recommendations 🙂
